Anton is the founder of the OMSG.  He has always been interested in Martial Arts, specifically European Medievial Martial Arts.  Anton attended the WMA2000 Workshop, and entered the "Historical Fencing/Heavy Armour" touranment held at the workshop, which he won.  Anton also participates in the "Hesbaye Medieval Society, which is a group based in Belgium.  Anton has attracted a number of students in the Ottawa area, which has lead to the creation of the OMSG.
John has always had an interest in the history of warfare and various forms of combat.  After serving in the Canadian Armed Forces for 4 years he moved to the Ottawa Valley, where he discovered Western martial Arts.  In the fall of 2000, he joined AEMMA, and began training with Anton Cvet.  Since John has helped to form the OMSG, and has also developed an interested in making 14c Armour leading to the creation of the Woods Armoury.  On May 12, 2002 he successfully played for his prize of scholar, and is currently develping a Poll-Axe training program for the OMSG. 
At an early age Nick has pursued the study of martial arts.  starting with Judo, Aikido, and Kickboxing, later adding fencing and archery.  Upon arriving in Ottawa over eight years ago, he has furthered his studies in developing a personal style of combat incorporating Kyokushin, Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, Kali, Muay Thai, Sambo, Silat, aswell as several other styles.  A former firearms researcher for the RCMP, Nick relishes in the opportunity to delve into and decipher information from the numerous souces available out there.  As a member of the OMSG Nick has put his talents and passion to use as the groups Principle Instructor, and in his efforts to further develope the groups Grappling and Dagger training.  On November 14, 2002 Nick was awarded the rank of scholar.

Matt holds a bachelor of Social Science and a Masters in Moral Philosophy from the U of Ottawa, and currently works as a linguistics officer for the government of Canada.  His thesis discussed among other things the influence of medieval thought on the philosophy of Romanticism of the 18th century.  He is the founder of the Stonelion Traditional Chinese martial Arts Association, teaching traditional Northern Shaolin Kung-Fu.  He has been an avid martial artist all his life and has a variety of experience in WMA, including Greco Roman Wrestling, Boxing, and Fencing.  Having always had an interest in medieval history, Matt joined the OMSG in November 2001.  On May 01, 2002 he successfully played for the prize of scholar, and is now developing a Spear training program for the OMSG.
